Camillus House Kid’s Clothing Donation Drive

Our Camillus House Kid’s Clothing Donation Drive has grown into a meaningful tradition, now continuing for two consecutive years since 2024. Through the generosity of our members, we collected over 2,000 pieces of clothing, filling two full trucks with essentials for children and families experiencing homelessness.

To make this possible, we placed donation boxes in multiple classrooms throughout Hialeah Gardens High School, each labeled with our flyers to spread awareness. Students were encouraged to participate through incentives such as extra credit and community service hours, helping increase involvement across campus. With this collective effort, Blissful Hands officers organized, sorted, and personally delivered the donations to Camillus House, continuing our commitment to making a lasting impact in our community.

Mentorship Sessions

We officially launched our Mentorship Sessions on February 4th, 2026.

During our first session, members explored what passion projects are and how to begin creating one. They collaborated to brainstorm meaningful ideas aimed at improving and making a positive impact in their local communities. This session marked an exciting first step in empowering our members to turn their ideas into action and create real change.

Nicu Donation Drive and Fun Kids Activity

Since December 2023, Blissful Hands has made it a tradition to visit the NICU at Memorial Hospital West during the holidays, providing comfort to families in their most delicate moments. Our traditional drives include donating over 50 essential baby items and maternal care kits, along with 100 new books to the unit’s library, as reading to newborns fosters vital bonding and neurological development. Recognizing that NICU visitation rules often prevent siblings from entering, we also host a specialized class for children ages 5–12. By providing a safe space for yoga, dancing, and arts and crafts, we help siblings manage their emotions wisely during a tough time while allowing parents the necessary freedom to focus on their baby. It is a true honor to bring joy, hope, and practical support to these families, reminding them they are not alone.

Kids Daycare and Kindergarten

Since October 2023, Blissful Hands has been honored to return to Kids Daycare and Kindergarten, where we support and teach over 100 children, ages 4–12, during every visit. Our sessions focus on nurturing emotional well-being through a mix of fun yoga poses, mindfulness lessons, and breathing techniques designed specifically for early childhood. By engaging in these simple calming exercises, the children build confidence and learn to manage their emotions in a peaceful, age-appropriate way. It is truly inspiring to watch these young minds flourish and grow with every session, and we are deeply grateful to Kids Daycare and Kindergarten for supporting our mission.

Hialeah Gardens Senior High School Preschool and Daycare x Blissful Hands Collab

Since August 2023, Blissful Hands has led seasonal mindfulness classes at Hialeah Gardens High School’s childcare and preschool center through our partnership with the Garden Sprouts program. Working with children ages 3–5, we host engaging sessions every two months that combine simple yoga, creative projects, and emotional regulation exercises to build lifelong positive habits. A highlight of our program is our collaboration with the agriculture department, where we teach the children how to plant in our Affirmation Garden. This hands-on experience allows young learners to connect with nature while growing their confidence and kindness. These visits reflect our mission to support mental health from an early age, creating joyful spaces where children can feel understood and flourish..

Nathan B Young Elementary Events

Since August 2025, Blissful Hands has been a proud sponsor and partner of Nathan B. Young Elementary, a school at the heart of a resilient, low-income community where resources can often be limited. We recognize that for many families, the cost of returning to school can be a significant burden, which is why we provided 50 fully stocked 2nd-grade backpacks, 100 uniform polos, and essential supplies like headphones and teacher kits. By ensuring both students and educators have the tools they need to succeed from day one, we help bridge the gap and allow every child to walk into their classroom with the confidence and dignity they deserve.

Our commitment to the community continues through active volunteering at events like the Halloween Trunk or Treat, where our team helped ensure that over 300 students enjoyed a safe, festive, and inclusive celebration. In neighborhoods where safe spaces for holiday fun can be scarce, our volunteers worked to distribute candy and create an environment where every child felt seen and valued. This mission of joy extended into our Grinchmas celebration on December 19th, where we focused on both physical gifts and mental well-being. To support literacy and creativity, we gave away over 300 books and 150 painting kits, providing children with outlets for self-expression that they might not otherwise have access to at home.

Beyond material support, we brought our mission of mindfulness directly to these celebrations through face painting, drawing, and calming activities designed to help students relax and process their emotions during the high-energy holiday season. These moments give children from stressed environments a rare chance to slow down, practice presence, and decompress in a supportive setting. We are deeply grateful to our sponsors—Walmart, The Education Fund, MetroPCS, NHS, Triumph AC, Nuevo Amanecer Cafe, Latin Churro, and Costco—for believing in our mission and making this vital support possible.

2025 Skyway Donations

In August 2025, at Skyway Elementary, we had the privilege of supporting 18 first graders by providing their full school supply lists to help ensure they started the school year prepared and confident. Each student received the essential materials they needed for their classroom learning, creating a strong and supported start to their academic journey.

Alongside the supply distribution, we also created a fun and welcoming atmosphere for the students through face painting activities. This added a moment of joy and relaxation, helping the children feel comfortable and excited as they stepped into a new school year. It was beautiful to see their confidence grow as they engaged, laughed, and expressed themselves.

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve the Skyway Elementary community and to be part of a day that focused on both readiness and positive school experiences for young learners.

Thanksgiving Fest

The Thanksgiving Fest at West Hialeah Gardens Elementary brought together over 50 families for an evening centered on support, gratitude, and community care. Families received turkeys, canned goods, and toys, helping ensure they could experience a warm and meaningful holiday season.

The purpose of the event was to support low-income families by creating a welcoming space filled with free food and family-friendly activities. Throughout the evening, students led activity stations for both children and parents, helping the event run smoothly while making sure every family felt included and supported.

It was a heartfelt evening that reflected the importance of coming together as a community. We are grateful to have been part of an event that brought comfort, joy, and care to families in West Hialeah Gardens Elementary during the holiday season.

Induction ceremony

On April 4, Blissful Hands hosted our Annual Induction Ceremony, a meaningful celebration that honors the growth, dedication, and purpose of our organization.

This special occasion brought our team together to reflect on the journey we have built through service and community impact. It was a heartfelt moment of gratitude as we welcomed and recognized members who continue to support and strengthen our mission.

The ceremony served as a reminder of how far Blissful Hands has come and the importance of staying grounded in our values as we continue to grow each year. We are deeply grateful for every member of our organization and for the shared commitment that allows us to make a lasting difference in our community.

BHC Garden from HomeDepot

At Hialeah Gardens Senior High School, Blissful Hands had the privilege of creating a community garden that serves as a space for learning, growth, and connection. This project was made possible through the generous support of Home Depot, helping turn a shared vision into a meaningful reality for our school community.

The garden serves as both a learning lab and a hands-on space where students can engage with nature, develop responsibility, and gain practical experience in environmental awareness. It is a place where education extends beyond the classroom, allowing students to work together, care for living plants, and take pride in something they helped build.

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to bring this project to life and to contribute something lasting to Hialeah Gardens Senior High School. This garden reflects the power of collaboration and the impact that can be made when a community comes together with purpose and care.

Teacher appreciation week

During Teacher Appreciation Week, Blissful Hands had the honor of supporting educators during a particularly demanding testing period. As a small gesture of gratitude, we gifted teachers soothing essential oils to help promote relaxation, calm, and moments of ease throughout their day.

We recognize the dedication, patience, and care that teachers pour into their students every day, especially during high-stress academic periods. It was truly meaningful to be able to give back to those who give so much to our community.

We are grateful for all educators and remain committed to continuing to show appreciation and support for their important work.

Fridays Meetings

Since 2023, twice a month, Blissful Hands gathers for our team meetings, and we are so genuinely thankful for these moments together. It is a time for us to slow down, reconnect, and share updates as we continue growing and serving our community.

We are truly grateful for every single member of Blissful Hands. Thank you for showing up with kindness, dedication, and so much heart. Your effort and commitment do not go unnoticed, and each of you plays such an important role in everything we do.

These meetings always remind us how lucky we are to have such a supportive and caring team. More than planning, they are a moment of appreciation for the people who make Blissful Hands what it is.

Body for Yoga Field Trip

On Thursday, December 11th, the Blissful Hands team had the privilege of participating in a field trip that allowed us to step away from our daily responsibilities and focus on mindfulness, reflection, and connection. We were welcomed into a calm and supportive environment that encouraged us to be present and fully engaged in the moment.

Throughout the experience, we took time to slow down, reset, and strengthen our connection as a team. It was a meaningful opportunity to practice mindfulness in a shared space and to appreciate the importance of balance and well-being within our work.

We are truly grateful for the positive energy, thoughtful experience, and lasting memories created that day. It served as a gentle reminder of the value of taking time to care for ourselves while continuing to serve others with intention and compassion.

Senior Gardens Daycare

On February 14, Blissful Hands had the privilege of visiting Senior Gardens Daycare to celebrate Valentine’s Day with the seniors in our community. The day was centered around connection, joy, and shared moments of care.

Throughout the visit, we engaged in a variety of activities including salsa dancing, painting, live guitar music, and singing. These experiences encouraged creativity, interaction, and meaningful connection among everyone present.

We also led a gentle chair yoga session designed to support relaxation, stretching, and mental ease, helping create a calm and comfortable environment for the seniors.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to spend this time together and to share a day filled with laughter, conversation, and heartfelt moments.

Lotus House Sponsored 12 Kids for Back to School Prep

We were truly honored to sponsor 12 children at Lotus House by providing uniforms, shoes, and socks to help them start the school year prepared and supported. Something as simple as having the right essentials can make a real difference in how a child feels on their first day, and we were grateful to be able to contribute in that way.
